The other day I saw a tiktok of a girl talking about what jackets are trendy for Fall. She mentioned that in Europe, the girlies are wearing leather jackets and to toss your barn jacket asap. And while barn style jackets really had their moment last Fall, I still like them this year as a casual option. The jackets I have my eye on however are suede suede suede! Here are a selection of different styles to add to your Autumn capsule wardrobe. As the “ber” months settle in, the jacket really tends to make the whole outfit. So it doesn’t hurt to invest in having a good rotation. Happy shopping!
- The Perfect Chic Jacket for Fall 2025: The Suede Jacket
A high quality suede jacket in a bomber or fitted silhouette is bound to elevate your street style. It’s classic, chic and set to return in the Spring for another light jacket moment. I have my eye on these from Zara below.
2. You Can’t go Wrong with: The Classic Leather Jacket
A vintage looking leather jacket is def having a great moment this season. Think oversized, messy-chic, “I just threw my bf’s jacket on” type of look. Or the fitted, elegant, fitted, 90s new york style works too. Whichever you end up choosing, I know you won’t regret going with a new leather jacket for the season.
3. Going Casual: The Barn Jacket
Had a grand moment last year in a very Americana, Ralph Lauren, countryside chic aesthetic and I still love them for this very vibe! Think, a big white knit sweater with a barn jacket thrown over. Add a cute pair of Hunter boots (preferably red) and you have yourself a very Pinterest coded aesthetic coming your way. Just make sure you get pictures!
4. For the Rainy and Gray November Days: The Trench Coat
A good trench is always a staple to have for the Fall and Spring seasons. This year, I’m really loving a hunter or olive green long trench. This past Spring, I was a great advocate for a cream or tan, short, belted trench. Which is still great to re-wear now. But I saw this Uniqlo trench and fell absolutely in love with the checkered detailing on the inside. Just imagine how cute would it look to roll up the sleeves!
