Here are some of my favorite products to use when doing a full makeup look as well as hydrating skincare afterwards. These are just some of my favorite products, not necessarily the order I use them in! My skin type is typically more acne-prone. I struggle with skin dullness, acne scars and post-inflammatory erythema (pie). If you experience these skin symptoms as well, I’ve found these products work well for covering redness and blemishes, as well as soothing them. These are just some products that work for me, but as always, all skin types are different and use what works best for you!

- Tower 28 Daily Rescue Facial Spray: & Prada Refine Primer: skin prep starts with the SOS daily rescue facial spray with hypochlorous acid. Recently started using this and as an acne girlie with scars and PIE, I love that it reduces redness and inflammation. It helps your skin against bacteria and soothes irritation. I like to directly apply to the face and sometimes also spray it on my brushes. To prime, the Prada refine primer works great on my oily skin. It helps blur my imperfections and gives a smooth and soft base for my makeup. I like that it also has lactic acid and AHA/glycolic acid in its formula.
- Anastasia Beverly Hills foundation & Saie brush: typically I rarely wear foundation, but when I do, I usually op for this one. The impeccable blurring second skin matte foundation. As someone with blemish prone skin and lots of acne scars and post-inflammatory redness, I love a good blurring foundation. It has medium to full coverage and most importantly, it’s non-comedogenic. Applying with the Saie base foundation brush or the buffing brush gives me the best results.
- Rare Beauty contour: love this for a liquid contour. It’s light and easy to blend. Gives a natural look and carves out the angles in your face flawlessly.
- Hourglass vanish airbrush concealer: a favorite if you’re looking for a dark circle, full coverage concealer. Love the product, but wish you got more product for the price point and packaging is a little annoying to use. But regardless of the concealer you use, the most perfect concealer brush is the hourglass vanish concealer brush. It’s so worth it for how well this brush blends.
- Charlotte Tilbury setting powder: an online favorite. It gives good coverage and a natural finish. The powder is super fine so it blurs imperfections well, which is a plus. However, if you do struggle with acne, it could be a trigger for breakouts due to ingredients, so be cautious.
- Rare Beauty Highlighter in soft pink. It leaves a shimmer finish that I love and can accentuate with added layers of my fav Dior Highlighter, the BACKSTAGE glow face palette. Paired together, I love the iridescent, slightly metallic glow they give.
- Benefit Mighty Fine Brow Pen: I love love love this brow pen because of its super fine tips. It fills in my light brows and makes them look fuller without looking thinner. Just a perfect natural look I haven’t really found with any other product.
- Patrick Ta Eyeshadow Palette specifically the major dimension III matte palette. I love this palette so much because, to me, it’s the perfect neutral palette. I love all the shades of brown because that’s what I use the most in my everyday makeup but I love that I can use this palette to go in for a smokier look, too. I literally feel like I’ve been looking for this type of palette my whole life.
- Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara in rich brown is a personal fav. I love the length it gives because of their dual-sided wand.
- Lips: the Makeup Forever color pencil long wear lip liner in any of the nude shades, but our fav is the warm rose nude is the perf long wearing liner. It’s creamy and super pigmented and honestly a cult-favorite. That paired with the iconic black honey almost lipstick from Clinique gives you a light coverage making your natural lip color stand out. Literally a lippie loved through generations & to finish, the Fenty beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Luminizer in the color Riri gives the best shimmer finish to this dark voluptuous look.
- O/S mattifying setting spray: The only setting spray you’ll ever need. ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr ‘Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray is perfect for long-wearing days. Works for all skin types, especially the oily & combo skin girlies. It has green tea extract to tighten pores & witch hazel to absorb oil. As an oily & acne prone skin type myself, I love using this. It is non-comedogenic and really locks in my makeup look. I don’t have to go blot my face halfway through the night, think about if my makeup moved or touch up if the redness from my acne starts peaking through. It feels almost like a hairspray for your face. The smell is a little strong, so hold your breath while applying and keep your eyes closed for a couple seconds afterwards to avoid a burning/stinging feeling in your eyes.

After wearing a full face I love to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. I mean seriously, I go full glazed donut to hydrate and plump the skin after having all that product on.
- Caudalie Vinoclean Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil – As a Caudalie girlie, I really love the vino line of products, especially with my uneven skin texture. After a full day of makeup, I like to double cleanse. So, I’ll remove my makeup with this cleansing oil. And oils are tricky for me, I don’t like the greasy feel they leave behind usually. But this cleanser melts my makeup away without leaving that filmy finish. Then, I go in with a water based, hydrating cleanser to remove any further impurities. Currently, I like to use the Laneige water bank cleanser.
- Laneige Water Bank Gentle Gel Cleanser: I love this cleanser as a second water-based cleanser because it still removes light makeup and oils. It has hyaluronic acid in it and it feels so hydrating as a gentle cleanser. My skin feels clean without feeling stripped. I really love using it as my morning cleanser as well. It removes my products and oil buildup that was produced overnight.
- Paula’s Choice Advanced Replenishing Toner: Typically, I struggle to find a good toner that actually does something for my skin, and this one really helps with the dullness my skin experiences after wearing a full face. I like that it’s a milky hydrating toner that plumps my skin.
- Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream: To really lock in moisture, I like to use this Tatcha cream. It hydrates so well and gives me a dewy glow – as close to glass skin my face will get.
- Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask – for some added under-eye hydration, I like to go in with this sleeping mask. It’s packed with collagen, peptides, caffeine and niacinamide. It gives a slight cool treatment that helps depuff which I love.
- Dieux eye mask: One of my favorite purchases. I love a good under eye patch and investing in this forever eye mask was one of the best things I did. They’re reusable eye patches that can be used on top of any eye creams to really hold in that serum so that it can fully absorb into the skin.
- Tacha the Kissu Lip Mask – One of my fav lip masks. Super replenishing and makes my lips look all plump in the morning. It’s a jelly mask and a little goes a long way. Even though it’s marketed as a night mask, I love wearing it throughout the day, too.
Stay cute,
