If you’re looking to add some character or whimsy to your daily style, here are some subtle ways to elevate even the most basic outfit. I usually love a casual / basic outfit for everyday and adding these cute details makes me feel more put together and trendy. So, these are some staples I love to turn to that work with any outfit, in any season. If you don’t have on already, get yourself a brown suede bag!!! I swear, investing in a mid-range brown suede bag is something you wont regret. I wear mine everyday, it goes with everything and makes me look more chic. Coach has some good picks and the Ralph Lauren bucket bag is gorg but you can find some cheaper, non-logo ones as well in places like & Other Stories, Cos, or Madewell. Those are some of my usual go-tos. And to add some personal style, I love adding bag charms, scarfs or some beaded jewelry to my bags. It’s a fun way to show your individual character.
Other accessories I’m loving, especially for the summer, are chunky arm candy like big bracelets or chunky rings. Resin bracelets and pendant rings are so fun to mix and match with. We’re going into an era of big and bold, whimsical fashion statement pieces again and this is a fun and affordable way to join in on these trends that are just forming. But, if you are looking for a more understated piece, a smaller wristwatch can never steer you in the wrong direction.
